Another week another box office bomb unleashed on the American Public.
What am I referring to ?
Why the Code Pink ,Daily Kos loved Robert Redford flick called Lions for Lambs.
To call this movie a box office failure is being kind. The movie has made a whopping $8 Million dollars since its release. To put that in perspective that is almost enough money for one John Edwards haircut !
The film is a two hour talk-fest with a sprinkling of action and Tom Cruise as the arrogant jerk Republican. ( The only kind of Republican to be featured in these Liberal movies.) Staring at my popcorn would be more exciting than sitting through this Turkey.
Lions for Lambs is the latest in a string of box office disasters in which America is portrayed as evil and/or stupid and the terrorists are misunderstood, innocent or turned into European Businessmen. After losing millions of dollars on leftist propaganda there are indications that some studios NOW realize that there is no appetite for these movies from the American public. Some studio executives are nervous about some other upcoming America bashing flicks that are already in production or are set to be released. They think that Americans do not want to see a war movie since we hear about the war every day in the news.
Well they are wrong.
America wants a war movie that shows what is really going on-namely that American soldiers are kicking terrorist *ss and spreading democracy wherever their Boots hit the ground. What Americans want to see is a twenty-first century version of a John Wayne movie. Movies based on real missions with Action, Adventure, and Heroes that inspire us. But from the looks of things we won't be getting that anytime soon from the Hippies currently running Hollywood.
And that is a shame.
